Description

I thought that perhaps an open cluster might be a nice project with a full moon... So I gave M34 a try as it was about 60 degrees or so away from the moon.

This cluster lies approximately 1,500 ly away making it one of the nearer objects in the Messier catalog. Interestingly, in 1983 astronomer Olin J. Eggen discovered that the spatial motion of M34 coincided with the motion of the Pleiades and several other open clusters, which suggest a common age and origin. (messier-objects.com)

This was very difficult for me to process with a big gradient to deal with but in the end, I think it's not too bad. But perhaps starting a NB project might have been a better idea, lol...
